Birthing Tree

This painting represents the birthing tree, where a lot of Aboriginal women would give birth to their children in the root system at the base of the tree. The circle dot work represents the ancestors that have come before on both the mothers side and fathers side, the other dot work represents the spirit energy that comes from them, flows through the people and land, as well as, everything else, connecting us all in more ways than one.
