$22.39Price
This artwork has multiple layers of symbolism. Ginga is the Saltwater Crocodile spirit, Ginga lives in two worlds, the water and the land. Ginga teaches the Jawoyn people of Nitmiluk (Kathrine NT region) the importance of walking in two worlds and being connected to the physical and being connected to the spiritual, as well as, being patient, powerful and precise. The patterns in the corner and flowing out represents the billabongs/waterholes and connecting rivers where Ginga is foud, each dot representing an ancestor. The U and Ul (Men) symbols represent the people that are connected to Ginga and who are responsible for taking care of Ginga and the surrounding environment, these people just like Ginga, are patient, powerful and precise.
