This artwork represents friendship, sisterhood, and brotherhood and the energy or power of that connection. Within Aboriginal culture everyone has a family totem as well as an individual totem or Skin Name, this identifies us within our clan or tribe as well as, our responsibilities to our land and the plants and creatures within in it. Aboriginal people are all interconnected with large extended families, people that have the same totem will be classified as family (cousin brother, cousin sister).
