The Journey

This artwork represents the grandmother spirit and grandfather spirit. My mob believe the red tailed black cockatoo holds the grandmother spirit and the Kookaburra holds the grandfather spirit that help guide us in the physical world. Both the kookaburra and cockatoo are most active and vocal when the sun is rising and setting, the sun is an important part of the spiritual journey from this world to the next, this is also the time when spirits will be leaving or entering sky camp or making their journey to it.
